BENEFICIARY

Another way to make a gift to the Wolf Conservation Center is to include the WCC in your will or name the WCC as a beneficiary of a revocable trust, retirement plan, or life insurance policy.  A bequest is deductible for federal estate tax purposes.  A bequest can be made by creating a new will, adding a codicil to your existing will, or naming the WCC as a beneficiary of a revocable trust, retirement plan, or life insurance policy.  A recent change in the tax laws permits people age 70½ and older to give up to $100,000 per year from their IRA directly to a charity and avoid paying income taxes on the money.  Regardless of age, there are many other options for donating to the WCC  with beneficial tax consequences, such as Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts and Charitable Lead Trusts, consult your attorney or tax advisor.  Also, the law firm of Casper & Fischer LLP in Mt. Kisco (Tom Casper 914 242 4900) has graciously agreed to offer a free consultation to those wishing to explore a planned gift to the WCC.
