On June 21, 2010, The Wolf Conservation Center was so pleased to present Emmy award-winning wildlife cinematographer Bob Landis! He has produced many films for programs such as National Geographic and Nature. His work has taken him to Denali, Kluane, and Algonquin National Parks, but his home is Yellowstone Park where he has excelled in the art of wildlife filmmaking for over 30 years.

"Movie Night" with Bob Landis got off to a rocky start.  The Yellowstone native arrived in NY to a chorus of howls and sirens!  The weather was brutal in our neck of the woods but the storm and fallen trees (one even on our driveway!) did not keep our guests away.  The film, "GROWING UP IN YELLOWSTONE:  A BLACK WOLF'S STORY" was phenomenal and Landis offered an interesting and often comical play by play recount of how he was able to capture such amazing footage.  After the film we offered a Q&A session up by ambassador wolves Lukas, Kaila and Atka!  We had just enough time for a quick visit before the skies opened up again!  Landis isn’t often in our neck of the woods.  The Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT is to thank for bringing him out to the east.  A big THANK YOU to the Museum for giving WCC supporters an opportunity to meet and very talented fellow and to enjoy an extraordinary film!
