POLAR BEARS AND CLIMATE CHANGE – Guest lecture by Dr. Don Moore
The Wolf Conservation Center encourages conservation efforts not only for wolves, but for all wild species. It was such a pleasure for us to once again welcome Dr Don Moore of the Smithsonian’s National Zoo! Children and Adults alike joined us for a very special talk about polar bears and the impact climate change has had on this magnificent beast. Westchester’s own Jean Craighead George, the Newbery Medal-winning children's author and environmentalist was also present. Her latest book that celebrates the natural world, The Last Polar Bear, also examines the future of the polar bear in our melting world.
