Cheers! Drink up for the Wolf Conservation Center!
Thank you to old and new friends of the WCC – especially celebrity bartender Jennifer Pappas -- for making last night’s drop-in event at Toscana Restaurant in Ridgefield so much fun and such a fund-raising success! Over 50 people attended, and the final tally is not yet in, but between tips (100% of which went to the WCC), 10% of the bar take for the evening (specialty drink offerings included a “White Wolf,” a “Red Wolf,” and a “Mexican Gray” – for recipes see below!), and purchase of custom jewelry and art honoring our ambassador wolf, Atka, the event brought in close to $5,000 for the WCC and introduced many new people to our mission!
DRINK RECIPES:
White Wolf:
1 part frangelico
1 part bailey's irish cream
1 part irish whisky
Shake with ice and serve up in a martini glass
Red Wolf:
1-1/2 oz. vodka
Soda
Cranberry
Splash of grenadine
Serve over ice in a highball glass
Grey Wolf:
Classic margarita with ice or straight up
rimmed with grey Celtic salt
