Foals Touching Souls
With a howl and a neigh, celebrate Mother’s Day and join us for a touching lecture by Frank Weller, co-founder of Equine Angels Rescue Sanctuary (E.A.R.S.). Three years ago Frank Weller, one of E.A.R.S. founders, was making a documentary film about the Premarin story. He adopted a Premarin foal, Toby, and within that year he and E.A.R.S. volunteers matched 53 foals with loving, life-long families. Mr. Weller, author of Equine Angels: Stories of Rescue, Love and Hope, will tell about his mission to rescue horses no longer deemed viable. The presentation will include a short slide show beginning with Frank Weller’s time on the vast Canadian plains and following the journey through the foal rescue process. Many times, it is the rescuers who are rescued upon meeting these noble souls. Their power to uplift is why E.A.R.S.’s motto has become "Rescues, Rescue Us". Guests will meet one of the ambassador foals from E.A.R.S. as well as the WCC’s ambassador wolves – Apache, Kaila, Lukas and Atka. Please join us and enjoy the rescue journey. Pre-registration is required.
