Winter is a magical time for wolves. ‘Tis the season of romance and a time to romp in the snow! Enjoy watching Ambassador wolves Zephyr and Nikai as well as the Wolf Conservation Center’s critically endangered red wolves show off their “moves” with winter wolf flair! Although we would love to believe that these wolves have been secretly working on their urban dance moves, this behavior reflects the typical wolf (or dog) response to an introduction to a novel odor. Scent rolling is method for wolves to bring information back to the pack.
