Wildly Romantic Proposal Symbolizes Love and Loyalty

Throw your engagement to the wolves!

On April 27, the Wolf Conservation Center staff and wolves helped facilitate a marriage proposal between two staunch wolf supporters during one of the Center’s popular “Sleeping with Wolves” overnight adventures. With support from Ambassador wolf Zephyr, who graced the newly-engaged couple with a howl immediately following the proposal, Kristin was able to surprise her girlfriend Jo. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Like most humans, wolves form monogamous breeding pairs and remain together for the duration of their adult life. As a team, the pair will maintain a territory, search for prey, and, above all, remain loyal to one another and their family unit. It seems only natural that wolves should symbolize strong, loving relationships, and apparently we’re not the only ones who share this sentiment!

The touching moment proves that, with wolves, humans, and many other living creatures, love is what really matters.
