Oregon Police Ask for Information About Poisoning of Entire Wolf Pack
The Oregon State Police is asking members of the public to report any information about the poisoning of the Catherine Wolf Pack in eastern Oregon.
The family (three males, two females) was found dead in February 2021 southeast of Mount Harris within Union County. A female wolf from the Keating Pack was found dead in March 2021 in the same general area. Necropsies conducted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service found that poisoning was the cause of death for all six wolves.
Two more wolves were found dead following the initial investigation – a male from the Five Points Pack was found dead in April and a female from the Clark Creek Pack was found dead in July. Both were poisoned.
Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Troopers have continued in their investigation in the intervening months but have exhausted leads in the case. OSP is asking any person with information related to this investigation to contact the Oregon State Police through the OSP TIP Hotline: 1-800-452-7888 or *OSP (677) or TIP E-Mail: TIP@state.or.us.
