WCC Wolves as Halloween Candy!
As we kick off Halloween season at the Wolf Conservation Center, we’re matching some of the wolves at the WCC with the candy we think best matches their personality. Check out our matches below and visit the webcams and leave your feedback in the comments!
Oak (Red Wolf) – Red Hots
Oak is one of the newest wolves to join the WCC pack. Oak, her five pups, and their dad arrived last month and fingers are crossed she will welcome another litter of pups in the future! Like Red Hots, Oak is pure spice wrapped in a small package. Her cinnamon-coloring is certainly reminiscent of the cinnamon flavored kick of Red Hots. Belle (Mexican Gray Wolf) – Gummy Bears
Gummy Bears are a year-round classic, just like Belle. Belle is the oldest wolf who currently calls the WCC home and her role as the gentle matriarch of her family is both comforting and timeless – just like a gummy bear.
Ikal (Mexican Gray Wolf) – Pop Rocks
Ikal is the youngest Mexican Gray Wolf at the WCC at just six months! As the youngest in the pack, Ikal is full of surprises – he’s fizzing, he’s popping, he’s rocking! Just like Pop Rocks, you never know what to expect!
Silas (Gray Wolf) – Sour Patch Kid
Ambassador wolf Silas is a walking embodiment of a Sour Patch Kid – just ask his brother Nikai. First he’s sour, then he’s sweet! Silas keeps us on our toes, much like Sour Patch Kids do to our taste buds!
Nikai (Gray Wolf) – Caramel M&Ms
Don’t be fooled by his aloof and sleek-looking exterior; beneath his hardened shell, Nikai has a gooey center when it comes to Silas and his family. His salty and sweet personality is addictive; you can never have too much of Nikai!
