Outdoor Exploration for All Learners

April 1, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

  • This event has passed.

This program has been cancelled due to weather.

Join the Wolf Conservation Center as we celebrate World Autism Awareness Day and welcome neurodiverse learners! Families with children who learn differently are encouraged to visit and observe the WCC’s gray wolf ambassadors, Alawa and Nikai, and potentially observe some of the critically endangered red wolves and endangered Mexican gray wolves who call the WCC home.

Attendees will also have the option to complete various sensory stations to better understand how wolves and other wildlife live. Families can move throughout the facility as they’d like; this is not a structured program, rather, an opportunity to experience the WCC at an individual pace. Registrants are welcome to stop by between the hours of 9 am and 12 pm and leave when they’re done. All guests must leave by 12 pm.

This program is free but is limited to a specific number of attendees; pre-registration is required. We welcome all learners!

Read Before Registering:

  • These sessions are provided for a limited number of guests.
  • There are multiple sanitizing stations available throughout the facility.
  • There are outhouses (porta potties) available for visitors to use.
  • No dogs are allowed on the property.

NOTE: The confirmation email may go to your spam/junk folder. Please check your email before contacting us. If you receive the confirmation email, your name will be on a list. There are no tickets. The WCC reserves the right to cancel any program at any time.
