STAGE AU LYCÉE

The Wolf Conservation Center is pleased to offer the opportunity for high school interns to gain experience in wildlife conservation and education. Wolf Conservation Center Interns will participate in the daily operational activities of a forward-thinking and continually growing 25-year-old organization.

The WCC High School Internship program is designed to introduce students to the fields of education and advocacy, as applied to the WCC and its mission. The high school internship runs from May—June and is an unpaid internship opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and a senior in high school
  • Doit aimer travailler à l'extérieur.
  • Ability to cope with the physical demands of the profession (i.e. must be able to lift 50 pounds, work outside in all seasons/weather, stand for prolonged periods of time, etc.).

  • Ability to work onsite at the WCC.

If you have any questions please reach out to the WCC Volunteer Coordinator at volontariat@nywolf.org. The application period begins on January 1st and the deadline for applications is March 1st . Our Intern and Volunteer Coordinator will review all applicants after the deadline has passed and will reach out via email if they are interested in moving forward. Please note: the WCC does not offer housing or transportation for interns.

STAGE AU COLLÈGE

The WCC offers Spring and Fall term internship opportunities for college students. Wolf Conservation Center Interns will participate in the daily operational activities of a forward-thinking and continually growing 25-year-old organization. The WCC College Internship program is designed to introduce students to the fields of education, operations, and research, as applied to the WCC and its mission.

The Fall term runs from September—December, with applications opening on March 1st and a deadline of June 1st. The Spring term runs from January—May, with applications opening on July 1st and a deadline of October 1st. This is a paid internship opportunity, with students earning a stipend of $3000 per term.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Les candidats doivent être citoyens des États-Unis.

Please note: the WCC does not offer housing or transportation for interns. For all interns over the age of 18 there is a $25 application fee*, paid upon acceptance, to cover background check costs which can be paid via cash, check or credit card over the phone.

*There is an additional cost associated with background checks for out of state applicants and applicants from New York City
